This car comes with the britishmotor heritage certificate showing the car was built 22 december (1966) – 24january 1967. The mileage shows 37795. The body on this car is extremelystraight. It has had an older restoration. The door lines are as they should beand the doors close properly. It has the original black interior in very goodcondition. The door panels have some minor damage and a new set will be providedwith the car. This bj8 has a nice everflex convertible top and comes also withthe original boot cover and an aftermarket tonneau cover. It has brand new 60spoke chrome wire wheels with 165 x 15 brand new firestone f-560 radial tires. This healey has a newly rebuiltoriginal servo, new waterpump, new 6 bladed fan and new hoses. It also has a new high quality chrome emergency brakehandle. This mkiii bj8 also has new lucas driving lights that have been properlywired through two relays. I see no rust anywhere on the car body. The originalframe rails are straight. It has one small rust hole above the tailpipes in thetrunk floor. The paint job is several years old but still very respectable. There are a few nick and minor chips in keeping with its age. There is no rustin the fender wells, especially in front of the rear tires. It has ansa mufflersand regular mild steel resonators, but could use a new set o.

Nice older repaint - there is a 7 inch square repair to top of lf fender crown ( something dropped?), no evidence of any other accident damage. Car runs very well, gauges function , lights, turn signals, all electrics good, tight steering, good oil pressure, rebuilt gearbox and o/ drive w /new bearings, bushings, sychros, seals. Rebuilt carburetors (3), 5 new tires @ tubes, wheels painted @ balanced. Brake and clutch hydraulics rebuilt, runs strong. Needs interior work, has new carpet, small trim, new seat runners, seats are complete @ original, steering wheel is tired, interior side panels tired or missing. Frame is straight, no rot- door seams close w/ clean alignment, frame outriggers solid. Rocker panels have been replaced in steel but amateur job, floors solid. Small repair to side of trunk floor. Front chrome trim, grille and bumper are nice, rear bumper straight but chrome is fair. Lots of money spent in recent years to road worthy driver. Car has new; gearbox @ o/ drive rebuilt, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, brake hoses, brake light switch, handbrake cable, fuel pump, exhaust flex pipes, carburetors rebuilt, steering idler, front sway bar bushings, door latch strikers, oil hose to gauge, tires and tubes, carpet kit, convertible top incl new snaps and top latches, tonneau zipper ( brass # 12), battery on/ off switch, license plate lamp, front fender beads, trunk seal.

Seller's comments and description: 1959 austin healey 100/6, matching numbers car, an extremely original, unmolested, unrestored. The healey has been well maintained & makes for a ‘first class’ driver quality car that could be displayed for show & driven as is on any road trip. Originally a black car with red interior according to the heritage certificate, the owner did a color change & installed a complete new interior kit sometime in the early 2000’s. A new stayfast convertible top & side curtains were added in 2010. Even though the paint is approx. 15 plus years old it still presents its self very well & could be left for many years to come. There are some areas where the paint is showing its age & i have attempted to take pics of these areas. For the most part the paint shows extremely well (looks like an expensive paint job when originally done). I have had the paint professionally touched–up & polished to bring back that ‘like new appearance’. The engine & transmission were apparently rebuilt during the original owner’s tenure ship but i have no paperwork to prove this. The engine starts effortlessly, runs smooth, pulls strong, has great oil pressure when hot & does not burn any oil. The transmission can be up/down shifted through all of the gears with ease & the overdrive works. The clutch works properly & does not slip. There are no over heating problems & runs consistently at around 170 deg. The brakes & clutch hydraulic systems have recently been rebuilt, the car brakes evenly & stops as it should with the 4 drum brakes. All lighting systems, including headlamps, turn signals, brake lights etc. The wiring harness in the car is original to the car & no one has touched or modified the wiring to the best of my knowledge. The healey is equipped with; electric o/d, heater, momolita wood steering wheel, adjustable steering column & chrome wire wheels. The chassis is solid & straight, never in an accident... & it still shows the original undercoating that was applied in the 60’s when the car was new, still in excellent condition with only a few spots peeling & cracked from age. The underside of the car was ‘waxolyed’ in 2010 to preserve & seal the undercoating/chassis. This healey is very presentable & a pretty car that draws attention wherever it goes. Given the originality & overall solid condition of this car it makes for a rare & indeed collectable healey 100/6. It should be driven & enjoyed as it is & preserved to maintain its original patina.
